ExpoDisplays Creates new The Saban Show TV Set
Birmingham, AL -- The University of Alabama Athletics Department recently commissioned ExpoDisplays, a Birmingham based designer and manufacturer of exhibits, museums and interiors, to create the newest display set for the television football series The Saban Show. Hosted by University of Alabama Head Football Coach, Nick Saban and football announcer, Chris Stewart, the show covers Alabama Crimson Tide Football highlights from the previous game with coach commentaries. It also features university sponsors and fan interaction segments, i.e. Fan Questions for the Coach.
For the new 2011 season, the University of Alabama wanted to create a new desk and backdrop for the weekly show. Since the display will be used in multiple locations and during away football games, ExpoDisplays designers and account executives worked with University of Alabama representatives to create a portable display the university could be proud of.
Set up is a breeze, taking under ten minutes to install. The backdrop consists of three pieces. The middle is an ExpoVoom™ fabric pop-up display boasting The Saban Show football graphic and is flanked on left and right by two DiamondFlex™banner stands, each listing National Championship years and one of the University of Alabama logos. The desk is a serpentine style "Euro" desk with deep crimson base, frosted plex accent panels, under-the-counter lighting and University logo. The collapsible ExpoVoom and retractable DiamondFlex banner stands store easily in one oval case and the desk into four flat cases for maximum portability. Since the graphics of the ExpoVoom and DiamondFlex can be replaced in a pinch, this display can also be utilized for other sports such as basketball and gymnastics. This display is yet another great example of combining multiple ExpoDisplays products to create an impressive display.

The 2,500-square foot exhibit will open in October at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Following a three-month engagement, it will open at the President Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a February-June 2012 exhibition. The tour is scheduled to continue through 2015.

"His story is so compelling that we felt it was the ideal candidate to build into our first traveling exhibition. We are honored to have the support of the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation in this exciting venture."
Bob Hope: An American Treasure will feature more than 150 artifacts, including Hope’s PGA money clip, an honorary Oscar statuette, Honorary Veterans citation, and Congressional gold medal. More than 200 vintage photos and several video displays will tell the story about Hope's early years as part of an immigrant family in the early 20th century, his rise as a star of stage, screen and radio, the relationships he had with U.S. presidents, his devotion to the U.S. military and his love of golf.

Method-1 Custom Interiors Creates Recognition Wall for Foundation Donors
Method-1 Custom Interiors of Birmingham, Alabama recently completed a donor recognition wall for the Cullman Regional Medical Center Foundation in Cullman, Alabama. The foundation was seeking a creative way to give honor to their exceptional donors.
Method-1 Custom Interiors of Birmingham, Alabama recently completed the design and development of a donor recognition wall for the Cullman Regional Medical Center Foundation. The donor wall was created as a way of honoring those who donated to the foundation’s emergency department capital campaign, which managed to raise more than $6,000,000 for the enhancement of the emergency care in the Cullman area.
The Method-1 design team listened to the goals of the foundation and created a custom wall that showcased approximately 400 donors. The names of campaign donors are imprinted on an internal glass plate wall spotlighted by recessed lighting. This focal point accents the foundation's logo which appears on the backdrop behind the glass. Employee donors were recognized separately with their names etched into the plexi-glass surround. The whole piece comes together with an overview of the campaign story and a recessed 42" monitor that plays presentations, gives weather updates and more. This allows the wall to be educational as well as relational to those who pass by the donor wall.
The foundation’s executive director, Darla West, extended her appreciation of the Method-1 team’s success with the following statement, "Method-1 has a passion for guest excellence and making sure that clients are completely satisfied with the end product."
